ABOUT ME

That’s me! Stephanie … the one with the blonde streaks … that purple haired little girl … well … pre-teen … that’s Ruby … she’s down for most of Mom’s adventures, but she’s still not sure of all my hairbrained ideas … we recently found out her pancreas is dead AF and she’s a Type 1 Diabetic … She’s also the inspiration behind us labeling each cookie with the approximate Carb Count on the FRONT of the packaging 💪🏻💙. We’ve become closer than I think we both intended since her diagnosis and you can follow us at #rubyspurplepancreas for all stuff we are up too!

That cute little guy on the right corner … well … that little mans is my Beckham … he’s my little cookie helper and supervisor of ALL things! My little Walter Cronkite is super inquisitive and likes to make sure things go to plan. He’s got a heart of gold and is the #1 fan of making sure Mom isn’t left behind.

That handsome man in the bottom right corner … well he stepped into a van one Friday evening while we were both seeking a new way to live. He’s been dealing with ALL “Stephanie shenanigans” willingly for God knows what reason for the past 16 years and made me a permanent Morris about 13 years ago.

That bottom left corner is me with my “AIW” Mural I decided to freehand paint for absolutely NO reason whatsoever on the back wall of my “Puzzle Room” … that room has now been converted into the “Cookie Cave™” The mural took me 6 days and I had absolutely no plan and drew as I had an idea….. I’ve always been drawing on something and done all things creative since I could even remember … I like to draw so much, at the ripe old age of 18 started to turn my own self into a coloring book 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️🎨👻  Art therapy in some form or fashion has helped me cope with some of the deepest and darkest places I have been.

In 2015 my life drastically changed when I became disabled due to a medical error and left with the most painful chronic pain condition called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome or CRPS, it was formally called RSD or a Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy. If I focused on making amazing things and making someone else smile, then I wasn’t focused on how bad I am hurting.

So on September 15, 2023, I was fighting the urge to put up all the Halloween decorations up against my husbands will. I figured if I whipped up some of his favorite cookies, using his Mom’s recipe I hijacked 16 years ago, I could make delicious some Magical Halloween cookies and convince him to let me bust em all out without too much flack about it.

While rolling out the dough my brain told me “Hey, if you can draw on paper and paint on walls, why can’t you “paint” on a cookie. 🧠 💡 🤯👩‍🍳🤘🏻🔥💪🏻

I immediately gathered the materials I thought I needed and gave it a go. I couldn’t believe I was way better than I had expected.  I was immediately drawn to making all things cookie in all the shapes I ran downstairs and made my own cutters and went COOKIE CRAZY! An awesome friend of mine who ALSO happens to be an AMAZING “Cookier” was giving me all these tips and tricks about how to get the “paint” (icing) just right and I improved a whole lot in a very short period of time. I am still working out the last bit of tweaking, but I am so excited to share all these special hand crafted little pieces of edible art and help make people smile!

Even though I still have the capability to make ALL the different things. Our main focus here at Craft Queen STL® is our Magical Sugar Cookies and our signature engraved watch bands.  So if you are still looking for us to make a special unique gift we can definitely do that for you, but would absolutely LOVE to make some cookies for you!
